The yellow chinos are awesome (but can understand why they won't be to many people's taste. Worn with a simple light blue oxford or chambray shirt, navy blazer and loafers, they look great.
Both pairs of trousers are indeed from Zara. I tried every pair of white trousers/chinos in Nottingham (Paul Smith, Reiss, Ted Baker, Ralph Lauren, etc. etc.) and Zara's were not only the least expensive, but by far the most stylish. I'd say the sizes are slightly small. I'm usually a 28/30 waist and the 30 is a fairly snug fit. They are terribly long though (34 inches rather than the usual 32), so I am having both pairs shortened by a local tailor. As far as slim/skinny goes (and one person's skinnies are another's flares it seems), I'd call them slim. I like my chinos skinny (I wear Topman skinny chinos a lot) and these aren't quite as tight as those, but definitely cut very slim. I loved both pairs so much, I had to buy both. I tried a third style on, which I could have happily bought too.
The whole SS Zara collection has a touch of the Burberry about it in terms of style and fit to my eyes (even completely ripping off the giant check shirts) although at a tenth of the price). Definitely worth a punt, I'd say.

I'm glad you said that Jay,I recently bought some cords from Zara and went up a size to a 31" waist!

Excellent post Jay, cheers.
Have you worn/tried on any All Saints trousers/jeans? I take a 28 there (which is usually a tiny bit big for me in their short-kick styles) but a 30 in Topman and a 29 in levis jeans. On average I'd say a 29/30 would be my size, so thanks for the heads-up about Zara's sizing. I had the same issue with Topman; i became so used to buying a 28 in All Saints, the 28 waist chinos I bought in Topman wouldn't even do up! The latters sizes are true to life though.

I've never tried on Allsaints trousers, no, but I take a 30 in Topman skinny chinos (I had the same problem with the 28s) and a 29 often if places do them (Diesel, Paul Smith). It seems you are a similar waist size so the Zara trousers should be a good fit.

Did you try any of their beige trousers on? I have a pair of mustard/beige chinos (Topman) but I find these too informal, and would like a lighter pair (probably more sandy in colour). I've seen Zara do some nice ones, but I'm unsure on which to get (they all look quite similar). I have a navy-double breasted dying to be worn with a pair of beige-trousers (rolled) with my oxblood brogues.

I usualy go shopping knowing exactly what I want, and today was white casual trousers so that's all I tried. Beige coloured chinos will definitely work with that outfit, but they are a bit old hat and all too common these days, no? If you're not brave enough to go for the white (which would look awesome with a navy blazer and oxblood brogues), how about a sky blue or pale grey pair, which would be more in keeping with this Spring's colours?

I have this pair of cords from All Saints...? Trouble is, they are ankle grazers to the point where I can't roll them with Brogues (they're really made for boots) and I'm not sure if I can pull off the sock-less look or not. I prefer funky socks myself. I have been tempted by white. The beige chinos I've been looking at have been near the white spectrum (not your Topman mustard ones every Tom, Dick and Harry has). But then again, ever Tom does have beige...
With the cords as well, I don't think I can tuck in a shirt if I want to due to the slight drop-cotch. I usually wear these just above my hips.

I have those cords in the colour they call "geography"
They're great with boots, but tricky to wear otherwise. I have been known to rock them with loafers and no socks though.

I've been tempted by the Geography colour a few times. And the black ones. And the Bitter Chocolate ones....and now that I think about it, the oxblood ones too... They're so comfy.
I'd definitely recommend these Pins!
