When Is It Socially Acceptable To Wear A Straw Hat?
I really want to crack out the straw trilby today. It's relatively sunny and tha hat would do wonders for my outfit, which is looking rather boring unaccessorised.
However, do people actually stick to the "straw hat day" rule? I like its around late May in the states.
It doesn't matter really. I'm back from Uni and living in rural herefordshire. I get stared at no matter what I wear here aha!

Only every waking hour.
Well, except when you're inside. Or it's cold. Or you need to maintain some semblance of decorum.
Otherwise, friggin straw hat everybody to death for all I care!

As long as it isn't worn when a hat is quite obviously inappropriate I.E wet, windy, cold, totally overcast, at a funeral etc then wear it as much as you want.

Except that wearing a straw hat when its cold or wet at best comes across as trying to hard to look cool (and usually failing) and at worst as being a bit of a knob.
