    Thoughts On This Blazer

Just wondering what people though of this blazer from Topman. Trying to add more colour to my wardrobe.
    Blue Mario Herringbone Heritage Blazer

OPrice is 100. Or spending a bit more and getting something like this from Reiss

    Thanks

Go for the Reiss one. Lovely colour and much more timeless, plus the colour is more this season.

I own two topman blazers but don't like the fit: have to buy a 42 to fit me even though I'm a 38 because I need the length, then take it to the tailors to nip in the shoulders and sides!

Naturally people will want to recommend the pricier option - and that's a valid school of thought, particularly here where the Reiss simply looks much nicer. So, that could be the end of the decision.

Ultimately though I think you need to try both on and see which fits best in the shoulders; get that right and a tailor can pretty much sort out any other baggy bits for not too much money, though that is of course subject to finding one and if you're splashing out 200+ on a Reiss blazer the extra outlay may not be so attractive.

In terms of blue blazers, also consider this one, in a lovely colour and between the two price wise:

If you're considering Reiss prices then it might be worth looking at Ted Baker also... Ted Baker Jackets

As mentioned here, pricing aside, I deffinately prefer the Reiss number. The topman blazer just has too much of an 'off the peg' look to it, with the Reiss looking alot more tailor-made, and elegant. Plus, I prefer a 1 button to a 2 button.
