Clubbing Attire Suggestion/Help Needed

Hi, I need an advice. I’ve been invited to a birthday party in a club and I’m not sure what to wear.

I’m 38 and it’s been quite a while since I’ve been clubbing! I have recently bought a nice blue blazer from Reiss so I was thinking to wear that and then match it with a white shirt. What about the trousers and shoes? Anyway what would in general work for a clubbing night out for my age? Thanks!

Beige chinos are always a winner with navy blazer. White chinos are perfect with blazer, but obviously a disaster waiting to happen in a club. I'm also partial to a burgundy chino. If you're less confident with that wear a slim pair of indigo jeans.

Shoes wise, I stick with the ever classic tan brogues and a matching belt. There's some on ASOS, full leather all over, and only 50 quid.

If you're looking to accessorise, what about a burgundy knitted tie (there's one in NEXT for a tenner), or a white pocket square (ignore the purists, you can pick one up in Primark for like 50p)

I thought that blue blazer + beige trousers were more for an afternoon/dinner occasion not for clubbing.. but as I said I'm not that much into the clubbing scene anyway! I like the indigo jeans idea. Thanks for the advice!

I would go for something a little more hard wearing than chinos, regardless of how you clubbing experience pans out, the chances of getting some kind of drink spilt on you are still pretty damn high, so I would keep it simple and stick with jeans and shoes, just be prepared to give them a damn good polish the next day.

Jeans, burgundy brogues (or dark leather shoes) or acceptable trainers/hi-tops really are a must for clubs. Chinos get ruined, and any leather shoes which aren't dark can easily get stained irreparably.
