To me they look a lot like the kind of thing you'd wear to bed. Not a fan.
I'm not quite sure I know anyone who wears chinos to bed. However, they are a bold statement item and as such are always going to polarise opinion with the majority of those disliking them. I'm one of them, I'm afraid.
I hope I dont live to see a day where dogs on your chinos are 'cool'
Something similar was worn by Nick Wooster. But in his case it was dark trousers with white sharks and it looked cool.

Look like pyjamas on Wooster also! They are ugly and don't even fit nicely.
I think embroidered chinos/cords are really really difficult to pull off. The ones you posted are quite busy, with two different patterns and many colors, what makes them even more complicated. If you love the look and think you can look stylish in them, I'd go for a quieter pattern. Something like this:

I agree with all of you. Maybe I would own them if they were £5.50 and were a joke item, but these are £200 pants!
I have recently found myself being drawn towards shirts in a similar pattern. I think maybe the chinos are a little far but I would be envious/jealous of anyone who could rock them and pull them off.
