Fashion Newbie Needs Help Revamping His Wardrobe
I have just recently recognised the expanse of men's fashion to choose from and have realised that I seriously need to revamp my wardrobe. During secondary school all my outing consisted of a hoody, a pair of baggy jeans and a pair of trainers. Since starting sixth form (college) I wanted to reinvent myself as a person through the clothes I wear. Not only is it a step up from secondary school to college but it is a jump from an all boys school to a mixed school.
I have started dabbling since the summer holidays and am looking to go all out for the winter wear. My obvious option was to consolidate the fashion masterminds on this very site rather than going out like a headless chicken. I did buy a ralph lauren polo with the small pony as I was told it is a staple in most wardrobes for the casual day out to the movies. I have also bought some nice high tops, pair of brogues and am looking to buy theseMens Penguin Bennie Brown Canvas Trainers - DL | eBay . I have bought a few chunky cardigans in black and an orange which can be seen on the what did I buy thread. You guys can even check the outfit I bought and let me know if I am on the right track or completely out of my depth.
The real point of this thread was to ask how do I start building a wardrobe with the staples as well as winter clothes for the freezing days ahead. I can't really afford the likes of Ralph Lauren, Hugo boss and All saints every time, occasionally yes but you will have to appreciate my price range is more topman and riverisland.
P.S My build is fairly bulky, broad shoulders and slightly chubby (however it is disappearing as I am getting older), I am 6 ft 1 and my thighs are quite big because I do mountaineering and climbing quite regularly and as a result look ridiculous in skinny jeans.
