Shoes For Autumn/Winter
This coming October it will be my first time staying overseas in a country with autumn and winter and being my first time, im clueless as to what shoes are appropriate and what shoes are not appropriate for the cold season. anyone able to give me some guidance?
For example, is it alright to wear boat shoes in autumn?
If that country is Britain, then rain will be your biggest problem. Deck shoes will be pretty useless.
If you wear a suit to work, then normal work shoes are worn in nearly all weather, unless there is snow - then everyone copes as best they can. I go for jeans and Timberlands, as business wear is not essential in my office - you might want to change on arrival.
Also, beware leather soles in the wet. London Underground stations have tile floors and become like a skating rink when wet. Either have rubber-soled shoes or get some glued to the soles if you can bear to.
Boots are essential for walks, but in the south the weather is rarely extreme.
If you are elsewhere, then maybe this will still help a little.
