I've been invited to a salsa class / night out on Friday and need some footwear. My wardrobe is still being sorted out and I'm short of shoes, my black work shoes are naff, trainers wont cut it and my desert boots are too clompy for dancing. Im not sure about brogues yet so I'm after some stop gap shoes to wear out with indigo jeans and a shirt. I fully intend to spend some decent money on shoes in the sales etc after xmas but for now I'm after something cheap ish that will hopefully fill a gap in my wardrobe for a while.
Here are some I'm looking at but feel free to suggest others, I will also be happy to spend more if they are particularly good value:
ASOS | ASOS Derby Shoes in Leather at ASOS
Brown Leather Shoes
Brown Tan Leather Shoes
I dont have a chance to get into town before then so I need to get them ordered online sharpish so I can swap them out if they dont fit!
I like these ones the best - they have the most current silhouette and are the most versatile colour imo
Make sure you rough up the soles a bit before you go dancing or you will be slipping everywhere!
Some smart trainers might be a better idea for this reason, come to think of it.
ASOS | ASOS Derby Shoes With Leather Sole at ASOS
Thanks, those were the ones I liked most anyway so I think thats sealed it. I would normally have worn smart trainers, which I do already own but I'm told last friday of the month is dressing up night for the girls so the guys have to put a bit of extra effort in too.
The ones Pins suggested are nice. I do modern jive dancing from time to time and leather soles are actually a plus when you're spinning some lucky/unlucky lady around in circles.
Yeah I've since been told by a friend that's been that I dont want anything grippy so I think the leather sole will be great.
