Can a blue gingham shirt go with a black suit? If so, what colored tie would you use to go with it?

Yes, and why not. Go for a pink tie with maybe blue highlights or dots. Best taking your shirt with you when you pick the tie

If Zac Efron can pull the look off with a navy suit and black tie i dont see why (depending on the colour of the shirt) it cant work with a black suit.

Ok maybe I'm too traditional but typically I don't like to pair blue and black together. However if you think you can pull it off, go for it!
