Hi
How shoud I carry my things when I go to dinner\theatre\exhibition etc?
I'm talking about a wallet, a tablet, and these small things.
A bag seems too big for that and imo makes the general look less tight in these situations, unlike the morning\work scenario.
any suggestions?
Generally I'll always take a bag unless I'm just nipping out the to shops for a browse.
Agreed that going to dinner with a bag seems a bit of an overkill. Situations like this a nice jacket / blazer and a slimmed down wallet / set of keys normally works well.
I take a bag almost everywhere I go, mainly because I don't enjoy my pockets being bulged at all. If I'm going to a more formal dinner or somewhere where I may be dressed up, I'll wear a jacket with an inside pocket and switch from a wallet to a card holder.
Some may frown upon it but I would recommend maybe getting a man clutch.

Cluthes are pretty bad imo - depends on how you want to be perceived though. They are pretty feminine / camp looking - not saying that is inherently a bad thing but you know what I mean. Sure it can be pulled off by the right person / in the right circles.
Maybe a shopper bag / soft briefcase or something would be a more versatile option?
I quite like the look of clutches but then again I am a massive woman.
If you were to take that route, I would advise a more classic, minimalist take on the clutch, maybe in tan leather.
IMHO Clutches aren't worth it, due to the bad stigma associated with them. I mean if one day I turned up with a man clutch all of my mates would start calling me a fag or something...I sure as hell wouldn't even think of having one, but that's just me.
Well I don't know about u, but where I live wearing a suit (as a young person and not for a wedding) with some detailed accessories like an interesting pocket square is enough to look dandy and gay (And let's not mention browsing fashion blogs). There is also a stigma for bags carried by your side. I don't really mind it, and I am gay, but I think certain clutches can be very stylish and masculine. I dress for a nice company in the detailed situations, not for some bored soccer men, so I think it is ok.
And I have a stunning briefcase but its too heavy and work-associated.
Yeah if you're gay then it doesn't really matter if your bag choice casts aspersions on your perceived masculinity I guess. I think they look ok for the right person in the right setting - just can't ever see it being for me
