Cleaning Suede Shoes!?
Right so basically, I've got some dark brown suede Fred Perry boots that I foolishly wore out on a night out when they were brand new! It looks like they're water stained or something, it has dark marks all along the inside of them (i'm guessing from alcohol stains) and the feel of the Suede in the staned areas is less soft than normal Suede/the rest of the shoe. I've bought some Kiwi Suede cleaner (Kiwi Suede And Nubuck Cleaner 200Ml - Groceries - Tesco Groceries) and gone to town on them, sprayed and scrubbed, sprayed and scrubbed.. repeat, while is cleaned the rest of the shoe.. The stain remains there. Anybody got any ideas on how i can restore my shoes to make them new-looking again?
We've all been there. I've ruined a pair of tan ASOS boots on a night out which I loved but are now unwearable.
Invest in some quality, foam based suede cleaner. I've got some from Jones Bootmaker which is pretty reliable.
Before i wear any brand new suedes i treat them to a proctective spray such as "stain Stop"
I've tried the shade cleaner, I've tried water and scrubbing and I've tried washing up liquid and water.. No results :/ I don't no what it could be that is making it so difficult to get out!!
Any other ideas?
Try steaming over boiling kettle (not too close) the heat may lift the stain enough for you to work on it with a toothbrush and cleaner.
