So I just bought this tweed peacoat from ASOS and was wondering if the fit is okay. The jumper I'm wearing under it is a little long but I was wondering if it looks okay too with the coat.
Here's some pictures, sorry about the poor quality:
ASOS Harris Tweed peacoat
Weekday Mo knit sweater
ASOS white scoop tee
ASOS vintage jeans belt
River Island acid wash jeans
AllSaints Assemble brogue
Fit looks good to me on the shoulders/cuffs which is normally the giveaway if oversized, some on here might prefer it tighter on the torso but I think a Peacoat should be able to take a couple of layers underneath. I've been looking at this very same coat myself, now that you have it what's your take on the quality of the construction? Some of the cheaper stuff on Asos isn't that great but I'm assuming as its Harris Tweed/Made in U.K it should be built to last.
Looks good, not a classic peacoat in terms of fit but still a good buy, if you can fit a couple of layers underneath then you'll be away.
Well with regards to made in the UK - I can only assume that the tweed is made in the UK and that the rest of the coat is the same as the cheaper wool mix variants. The construction seems pretty sturdy, my only concern with the cheaper ones was the wool pilling, I don't think that'll be a problem with this one. Note though that whilst it's 100% lined wool, it has no padding. Only time will tell really on its overall quality and warmth, I'll post back here after I've actually worn it out in the cold.

Didn't know ASOS did Harris tweed stuff.
Good fit mate. Especially like the slightly cropped look with the skinny jeans.
Looks great to me! You won't be able to layer anything particularly thick underneath but Harris Tweed ought to be pretty warm by itself.
Didn't wanna open a new thread, so here it goes:
I was thinking about buying an allsaints pea coat in ink (this one Mens Garrison Pea Coat (Oxblood) | ALLSAINTS.com) As I don't live in the UK but in Germany, I can only pick one up online. My chest circumference is 96 cm. On the website it says the measurement for a Small is 96.5cm. Would you go with the Small or the Medium (which has 101cm)? I am always unsure about such stuff, since it can make the difference between nice fit and "those sleeves could be shorter". Any help would be appreciated!
Hi, just wondering did you get the peacoat in x small? It's just I ordered the same coat in small and think it's a bit too roomy (chest 35inch). Is it constrictive at all? I'm always confused whether to go for small or x small, especially since I have a mac from asos in x small that's too tight.
My chest is around 35.5 and the XS is a good fit. It's just very fitted with a chunky knit on underneath which is fine. With a t shirt there's plenty of room.
