Are there any "rules" when buying a Tweed Jacket? I want a versatile autumn/winter coat and am having trouble deciding between a herringbone pattern or a check. I live and work in a city so I don't want the jacket to be too country and am slightly concerned I could end up buying a coat which belongs more on a country estate than in the town. Advice on a versatile colour would be good. I can't afford anything over £250.00 absolute max though.
