Building My New "Grown Up" Wardrobe.

A while ago I posted a a thread, saying how I was struggling to reinvent my style on a budget. Thanks to the propsect of a few new jobs and intervention from family members, buying new clothes is now quite an attainable goal for me.
Basically, I've got a few pieces to work with and a few I want. Here are a few of them

But there are also a few pieces I want, but need reccomendations of exactly which ones? I need, for example:
-a nice pair of shoes that will go with both black skinny jeans and coloured chinos
-a nice oxford or chambray shirt that will go with that blazer
-a really lovely piece of fairisle which will work with all the pieces above

I know thats alot to take in, but I'm determined to do this right this time and any help you can give me would be so apreciate! Cheers guys!

I know that many will argue, but I find my brown Brogue boots go extremely well with black jeans with a small turnup, or some chunky socks to break it all up.

As for fair isle and chambray, you can't go wrong with all saints although it can be pricey.

I've been seeing a few decent fair isle knits in TK Maxx lately. I got some amazing blue tassel loafers in there at the weekend too!

Buy long sleeved and roll the sleeves up if needed - it's sophisticated and more versatile than buying a short sleeve.

It's simple enough to be fairly versatile, but on trend with the fair isle and cream colouring.

I'd never wear the same shoes with coloured chinos and black jeans. If I were to, I'd be one of those disagreeing with Pin Money: bkack jeans and brown shoes is an abomination that has no place in the world! Buy simple black chelsea boots if anything.

I'm afraid I am with Pin Money on this one; I think black jeans can work perfectly well with brown shoes, I would avoid at all costs brown shoes with black tailored trousers, but more casual styles can still fit in my opinion. My biggest problem is grey jeans or trousers with Black shoes, that just infuriates me.

Personally I prefer Boots to shoes, but whichever you choose you can never go wrong with brogues:

Iknow I usually advocate investment with shoes, but considering your tight budget I would just make sure you take good care of a cheaper pair until you can buy some high quality ones.

In terms of shirts you could also try this flannel example from Topman rather than going straight for chambray, although there isn't anything wrong with that:

p.s. I love those brogue shoes, do you think they'd work with black? I've seen some people rock that look really well before.

Certainly with your black jeans they would work fine. Personally I don't like black shoes with any other colour trousers than black, I just can't get my head round it, which is why I prefer Brown or tan shoes as a whole. However, there is certainly not, for a sartorial point of view at least, anything wrong with it, if you like the look then carry on.

Just a quick thankyou for all your guys help. Just got back from town with a lovely (and reduced!) pair of brogue boots. I immediately feel and look 5 years older and they go great with black skinnies and a light blue chambray shirt.
