Shoes And Tops With These Chinos

Just picked up a couple of pairs of twisted tapered chinos, one from Burton:

Skinny Carrot Chino

although the leg is slightly skinnier.

I usually pair chinos with a chunky cardigan and either grey boats or sage/olive desert boots but not too sure about any of those options because of the tapered fit. Even considering high tops...
