Smashing jumper Jay!
I have to confess to pandering to my Topman habit again. I've just ordered this:

It's... 21% nylon. :o But at the same time, I like the colour, it's sure to fit right, and it was cheap. I was going to have the berry double breasted sort but I can't find the damn thing in my size! I will, before somebody points out that particular atrocity, definitely be changing the buttons.
Fortunately, I also received today a wonderful Paul Smith Jeans checked shirt in purple, with a revere collar - although I can't find a picture (it's probably from last season, which suits me fine!). I will never ever do the top button(s) up. I'm all about the revere action :p
I just realised that yesterday the picture of my tweed trousers didn't come up. Silly me. Today I purchased the All Saints Navy nordick funnell I have had my eye on for awhile. It was of course in the sale.

@Sam
Don't get me wrong, Topman have some beautifully designed clothes. If the quality was better, I'd buy bucketloads from there. The coat is a good example: it looks really sharp and stylish.
@Look
I love the Nordic funnel. One of Allsaints best items in my opinion. I've been tempted, but I'm on an autumnal (basically shades of creams/browns and greens) thing at the moment and I usually need an XS with Allsaints and, of course, they're sold out.
The ill-fated Topman Thread has really alerted me to the error of my ways :p but I agree that they have a nice line in design - that's the root of the habit!
I think that investment pieces can wait until uni at least - this waifish figure is still subject to change, I daren't buy something really nice that will swiftly cease to fit.
Yeah I sort of wish they had it in another colour as I already own a lambswool jumper but it'll go great with my burgundy cords or cream chinos. I went for a medium, although you've got me worried slightly now! If not hopefully I can always exchange the sizing. I don't usually buy from there so took a risk with the sizing.
Just snapped up 2 YMC knits I had my eye on for less than half price!

Merry Xmas
Despite saying this month was going to be all about knitwear, I bought these two Allsaints shirts in the sale. They're good basics and, well, you need stuff to put under those knits right?

Liking the purchases, Tone. I did consider getting the YMC fair isle in the sale, but the colour I desperately wanted never came down in price (damn, you Mr Porter exclusive!), and had my heart set on it so stumped up full price.
Right, I have money for one more purchase? A knit like I promised myself or shall I splurge on an Alexander Olchs wool tie?
And Merry Xmas all.
I had my eye on the Nordick Funnel but then I all of a sudden I decided that I didn't like the split seam, thats the only issue I have with it. I prefer the Galleon Funnel but it does have a very large collar. I'll stick with the Shire Crew (10% Alpaca is going to make it crazy soft!).
I shall be searching for another chunky knit grey cardigan and a couple more shirts now.
I don't really find Topman produce much that I actually like, perhaps it is the local store stocking horrible items but I just don't like any of it. I do try.
Jay - Get the tie, I'm assuming they're the ones off Mr Porter? Very nice, very very nice.
Well I had to take advantage of the All Saints sale so I've bought the Shire crew, and the Lander crew in navy. I also got the Ernst cardigan in navy as a Christmas present, so all in all it's been a good week for buying knits. I'm pretty much stocked up on knits for the rest of the winter so the next purchase on my list is a couple of shirts, which I will probably end up buying in the All Saints sale. Incidentally, does anyone know when their sale tends to end?
