    Advice for Thicker Men's Hair

Just wondering if anyone knows of any decent yet affordable products? My hairdresser used one called 'Label M' on me that was pretty good...

Check out the "Chill" range of hair products. They aren't too pricey at about 8 quid a pot, they smell nice and they hold well in thick hair.

I'm really not keen on label M, seemed to just make my hair oily rather than offer any real hold or styling qualities. Of course dependent on what style your going for I am currently using product from the Redken, called outplay texture putty, I think its pretty decent, but at around £11.00 quid I'd be hoping at the least it would be! A favorite of mine is a brand called Beaver (Beever | haircare products) again pretty expensive but I liked the hold. I guess more than anything its really just trying a different brand until you settle on one you like.

I tried one called 'Fat Hair' but it was really shit, just made my hair far too rigid and had far too much flakey white bits whenever I tried to force my fingers through it to scratch my head.

Label M is working great on me though, doesn't even feel like there's anything in my hair and I've not experienced any oiliness.

I may give those others a try that you listed though, Pete. Always room for improvement in my vanity

A hairdryer, that's a decent product for you. Towel try your hair, wet styling product and hairdry. Admittedly this is more applicable to my quiff than most other styles but it's still a good one to know.
I haven't tried them but if you'll go to such lengths, straighteners work too.
Being thicker haired actually gives us the pick of products; most things seem to work okay, I find. It's what we do with it that counts. I've been using Label.m sea salt spray as a wet styling product, and some really basic VO5 styling clay to finish. It's better than I would have dared expect, to be honest.
