Haircut SOS!!
Hi,
I have just had my hair cut and it really does not look right on me. I have a square face and now have a short quiff style with a grade 1 back and sides, but the disconnection between top and sides is way too brutal for me and makes me look like a post-hair transplant Rooney as my brother put it so gently :(
I'm not sure what to do now, I don't really want to put up with this for the next few weeks but obviously i can't do much as I don't have much on the back and sides, does anyone have any suggestions?

Gauge 2 allover and start again, put it down to experience!
Is there anything else you can do?

Have the quiff trimmed down into a spiky, textured messy style, short but still longer than the rest of the hair.

Don't do either of those silly, irreversible things.
Live with the style for a week first and try styling it a few different ways - you're bound to find something that works eventually.
And if not, wear a hat around town. It'll eventually grow to a more flattering length.
Then go back to the same barber and tell him/her what went wrong - instead of assuming the barber's the problem, moving on to a different one, and potentially having the same problem. It's good to stick with the same hairdresser as much as you can, so you can both develop an understanding of what works for you.

Get hair cut from any professional expert man.

I disagree with @Sam who posted above. Personally, I wouldn't go back to the same Barber/Hair Stylist as your stylists job is to listen carefully to your request and ask questions to ensure that they achieve the look you want. Normally they'll communicate with you throughout the haircut, to make sure that they're on the right track. My advice would be to get a referral from a friend or colleague whose hair you like. It's worth shopping around to find a great barber/stylist.
As for a short term solution. If I were you I'd cover it up and let it grow out a little or cut it all a shorter lengnth if you can't live with the way it looks. Good luck either way.
