Instead of a barber why don't you visit a hairstylist? Have a look at hairstyles online then book yourself an appointment. They'll help you pick a cut that will be most suitable for your facial structure and hair type.
It may cost significantly more than what you pay just now but if you can afford it I can guarantee you will walk out with a hairstyle that will look far better than what your barber and his trusty hair trimmers will do for you.
