Right, I am still trying to find a perfect hair product. Used to use American Fiber but then decided I wanted something that gave a slight shine. So currently I am using Hairbond Sculptor, which I find works well when my hair is dry but it still separates the hair more than I like.
So does anyone know of something that gives the hold of American Fiber but with a SLIGHT shine? Or alternatively is it better to use Fiber and a spray?
If you want shine, then perhaps try a pomade. Lookmantastic (the worst store name ever invented) has a decent selection:

It's really annoying, loads of the products recommended in this thread seem to be really hard to get hold of at the moment. Hairbond don't seem to have any of the Moulder in stock, the product page on their site links to eBay when you try to purchase! I can't find the d:fi fixing spray that you recommended Jay, I'm not sure if they've replaced or discontinued it, and the Label.m sea salt spray is sold out on the websites I trust.
I've had to go for some alternatives: for the texturising spray I bought the Bumble & Bumble beach hair spray, it seemed to have good reviews; for the wax/paste I'm going to continue using the Sebastian Professional Craft Clay I already have, though I find it really difficult to wash off my hands and it often needs multiple washes to get it out of my hair properly too. I'm holding out on the fixing spray for now, does anyone know of a good alternative to the d:fi spray that Jay suggested?
The stores I use didn't have the di:fi spray when I was last purchasing either so I bought this stuf instead:

Basically, you just want a salon quality spray (you'll have to pay a tenner plus) as the particles are much finer than cheap sprays, which means they dry without clogging the hair and making it all sticky like cheaper sprays often do. I hear good things about tBumble & Bumble but never tried their products, so perhaps try their spray?
I was looking at the same Redken hairspray. I've used their styling products before and really liked them, so I might give that a try. On another note, does anyone follow Jim Chapman's fashion videos on youtube? I think he gives some good advice and his hair and skincare videos are particularly useful, I've really got a good idea of what I want to be using in my skincare regime thanks to him, and what I need to do to get my hair how I want it.
New product I ended up buying after being advised. Hope it is successful at conditioning my hair and leaving it less 'straw' like as it grows:
