    Politics starting point

I've recently developed an interest in politics and was just curious to see if anyone could recommend anything good to read for a decent introduction to the subject. Cheers

Wait, do you mean Politics as in the Daily Politics, or Politics as in the philosophy of it?

Tbh I'd start with something like The Communist Manifesto and Louis Althusser's essay on Ideology

    <a data-cke-saved-href="https://www.marxists.org/archive/marx/works/1848/communist-manifesto/index.htm" href="https://www.marxists.org/archive/marx/works/1848/communist-manifesto/index.htm"><em>

You can then work backwards and forwards - it's not a bad start to know about the classic, leading theory on capitalism and therefore our (late capitalist) society.

That's a fairly open-ended question! What areas of politics are you interested in: the history of politics, local politics, right wing, left wing etc. There are lots of free courses from some of the major universities to give you a grounding in political philosophy and history (for example https://ocw.mit.edu/courses/politica...t-spring-2004/)
