Aha it is rather uncanny! It's probably got something to do with us both being miserable gits at heart.

Idlewild is rather more aggressive than my music taste generally gets, and the earlier stuff has a whiff of (dare I say it) emo to it. But it's great stuff!

Only bought Burst Apart this week and I'm hooked, it's alot easier to listen to than Hospice. I have to really work myself up to listen to the latter, because it's so devastating.

Loving Damien Rice's debut album at the moment, as well as Jose Gonzales 'Veneer' and quite a bit of Jamie T.

This is in addition to my usual daily doses of Neutral Milk Hotel, Smiths, Radiohead and Elliott Smith.

Just to update you BlackSheep, the last couple of days has seen me download the entire discography of Okkervil River. God, these guys are incapable of writing a bad song!

I approve. Also check out Shearwater, started off as an Okkervil River side project before they split into two seperate bands. They're really good too.

Checking out a recently suggested artist called "Foxes", a young woman with a voice akin to Birdy and the production value of Imogen Heap. Insane.
