"There's only one thing worse than being talked about and that's not being talked about."
I heard him on Jools Holland - very good!
I'd just like to change the subject from cutting edge new acts and put out there that The Smiths are my very favourite band and my very favourite album is Suede's debut:
Which is an album everybody should hear.
So to answer the original question, that is what I'm listening to!
And Jay - that's achingly hip! Perhaps I should listen to trendier stuff; the Girls album was one of the only things on the Stereogum and Pitchfork end of year lists I'd really listened to and loved. For example, it's one of the more 70s radio rock type tracks but Alex is one of the best tunes of the year in my eyes.
The Black Keys 'El Camino' killer album
Bombay Bicycle Club, The Black Keys, The xx, Vampire Weekend and Foster the People are among my favourites.
The Dead Weather, Phoenix are also some amazing bands plus Kings of Leon.
"Life's too short to wear bad clothes"
@ NATH6644, I saw Charlie live with Dave McPherson, and have to say, they were both excellent, and Dave was such a pleasant guy, I met him after the show!
And anyone like The Gaslight Anthem? Well, Brian from them has a side project, and it's well worth listening to, it's got some great vibes to it, and it's name is below!
