Top 5 Favourite Bands

This is why this thread is an impossible task because I've picked my top 5 and didn't include Foals and Arctic Monkeys! I also love Sigur Ros and so on...

Haha yeah, I was ruminating on my five for a good 20 minutes or so. I'll look back on it in a few days time and another band will cross my mind that I think should be on my top five. Absolute nightmare!

No way I can do a top 5, but 5 of my favourites, in no particular order:

The Avett Brothers (check them out now, thank me later)
Arcade Fire, obviously....
Johnny Cash
The Decemberists
Sufjan Stevens

However, ask me again in a week and I will give you a different list. What I listen to depends on my mood, though it is mostly somewhere on the "depressing" spectrum (except, perhaps, the last choice)!

I'm aware that it probably won't be everyone's cup of tea but I've been having a raging mangasm to these chaps for the past few days. It's just such a technical mind fuck.

Oh, and I'm quite enjoying Marina and the Diamonds new album. I think that there shows how diverse my musical tastes are.

Marina's album is pretty cool, and she is very cute! I liked her live performance on Graham Norton show last week.

Big yes to Bon Iver and Death Cab for Cutie, but Coldplay....I just don't get it! Ok, it's good pop music, but it's just so "meh"

Thought this would be a grand place for my first post! Some agreeable bands being mentioned here, I have to say.

The Roots
AC/DC (never gets old)
Opeth
John Butler Trio

First three are definite. Could be any number of artists for the last two spots though, to be honest.
