    Desert Boots

As an aspiring Mod I have taken an interest into smarter - refined looks: Blazers, Oxford-Shirts, Brogues etc. I've recently noticed that my brother has taken an interest into this sub-culture also and he is eyeing up some Navy Desert Boots. Smiliar to these: Red Tape Natural Red Tape Desert Boots- at Debenhams.com

What are your thoughts? Are they good? Is Navy a versatile colour for Desert Boots? Should he consider a more neutral colour? Also, they stock them at the local Army and Navy, are these likely to be good quality? He would appreciate any suggestions.

Navy is a pretty good colour but you might find brown or sand a bit easier to wear. You risk going too blue otherwise.

I don't see a problem with wearing Navy, it's low-key and versatile, although how versatile entirely depends on the rest of your brother's wardrobe.
