Hi people!

I've never put much thought into footwear purchases previously and usually just buy Skechers or Vans, but they fall apart after no time at all and I'm getting tired of replacing them. So I'm looking for something extremely durable, comfortable (obviously), with excellent grip and (least important, but still a consideration) good-looking.

I'm thinking boots or walking / hiking shoes will be best for durability and grip, maybe Caterpillar, Wrangler or cheap Timberlands (ideally not exceeding 100). I like the looks of the following, but won't buy anything I'm not convinced is built to last. Any recommendations / bits of advice are greatly appreciated.
