Polishing Winter Boots
Hi everyone, first post for me
I have just been reading Will's great article on polishing shoes - Shoe Care: How To Polish Your Shoes | FashionBeans.com but have a quick question. I fully understand what he is saying about polishing your shoes and then giving them a buff for a great shine which I have been doing with my black chelsea boots and brown leather desert boots but what about boots that don't need a shine like my thick brown winter/hiking boots. Some of them are quite expensive and all of leather so obviously want to keep them in good nick but they don't need to be shiny and have a more matt effect. Do I just skip the buffing? Skip the polishing completely and just wipe clean and condition? What you reckon guys?
Thanks in advance,

just clean and condition. It would look weird to have shiny winter boots. They'll last perfectly well with just basic maintenance.

I use dubbin on my boots, waterproofs and conditions without adding too much shine.
