I'm looking to get my first real pair of shoes where I actually spend a bit more to get quality.
For years I have been buying £50 shoes that fall apart within 6 months, and I'm sick of the waste!
Does anyone have any advice on what I can look at as good quality brands which won't break the bank. Although it's an investment I'm dying to make, my budget is only around £150-£200. Hopefully I can pick up something for around this.
Any help much appreciated.

Loake, Grenson, Barker are all true shoe makers. At the lower end Jones Bootmakers and Hudson are reasonable brands to look into. You might also look at Russell & Bromley.
