    Footwear and colour co-ordination

I was just wondering about something, say boots like Dr Martens, the standard ones are all black but has yellow stitching along the seam.
Is something like than an exception to the rule or will you need to co-ordinate the rest of your clothes with that yellow stitching?

Other footwear might have similar problems, I've seen some brogues with blue on there. All sorts of things.

With something like the yellow stitching on DMs I'm not sure I'd bother, in the same way that I don't take into account the orange stitching on my jeans. If I wore a pair of brogues with a bright blue sole I'd be more tempted to think about making sure it co-ordinated with the rest of the outfit.

Most people can handle black shoes for black pants, and brown shoes for brown pants, but what about navy pants? Or burgundy shoes? There is seemingly no end to all the places it can go wrong; consequently, there are lot of guys who are nervous about taking chances on shoes and pants of different colors.

I know the feeling and in the end I up staying in my color comfort zone because I'm too worried about it all going wrong.
