I would go for some Folk shoes if you are looking at chukka style shoe/boot Mens Folk Shoes , if you shop around you can get them cheaper elsewhere. I've almost bought the Armstrong in bitter choc, just never been 100% sure about them.

Suit yourself! They've filled in a gap or two perfectly for me, so I'll stand by them. They're not the classiest things around, of course, but they have a bit of character about them. They bridge a gap between the workwear and nautical trends.
But I'm digressing.
I'm barking up a similar tree, but how about a slightly less ostentatious pair of leather chukkas?
If that's not your style either, then you'll have to go for a different style for your AW footwear; sounds like a casual brogue might be the thing for you.
