    Simple Brown Shoe Recommendations

    Hi,

I'm looking for a simple brown shoes for work. I like to dress in a suit, shirt and tie for work but it's not compulsory, so the usual rules don't necessarily apply. I'd like a mid-brown shoe that stands out. I'd also like it to be versatile enough to wear smart casual outside work too. Budget is £200 but I'd be delighted to spend under £100.

    Any ideas?

These are my two leading contenders:

    Grenson Kirk - £175

    Grenson Jasper - £175

They are beautiful, thanks for bringing them to my attention. If I can get the brown Monks in my size delivered, I will. They'll be perfect for a wedding I'm going to in July.

Russell & Bromley have some pretty tasty looking oxfords, I think they're Barker. Probably a bit too formal perhaps.

I have placed an order for the brown leather Monks. They are currently being made so will take 20/25 days. They will be ideal for the wedding I'm attending in July.

Still need a simple pair of laces for work and general wear though.

Did you get the double monks? What's the sizing like? Seriously tempted by the pebble-grain ones they've got now.

They are beautiful and I am delighted with the sizing, they fit me just perfectly which means the 8 must be slightly small made. I am so happy with these shoes. I'll post some pics when I get a chance.

Suit Supply also do a very nice pair, I saw them in NYC but I think you have a store in Englandshire now.

Awesome, thanks. Will definitely order a pair when I've got a bit more cash.

The SuitSupply ones look nice as well, but I wanted something a bit more casual, they'll be worn at most with a blazer and chinos, and often with jeans, so Meermin's grained leather ones look perfect.
