Do you or anyone you know wear Cubans? ( Cuban heeled boots) I know they were in a few shops in Exeter last year but don't think they had much of an impression on guys. They were a 60's thing and I wore them back then but probs too old for them now, though I still like the look ! Being very short ( around 5' 5" ) I need something to make me look taller !

Good old Jay will ridicule me but I think they're a great look.
Just don't wear them because you're short; wear them because you've got massive gonads and you don't care who knows it. Strictly for looks with a bit of glamour, too; they wouldn't mix with a tweed blazer under any circumstances. Instead, think slim dinner jacket with skinny jeans. That sort of thing.
Before buying cuban heels ask yourself the following questions:
1. Do you sport a handlebar moustache?
2. Do you live in the 1970s?
3. Have you posed as a plumber in pornographic movie?
4. Are you a member of a Mexican prog-rock-folk band with ten minute flute solos that sings about elves and dragons ?
If the answer is yes to one or more of these questions, proceed to purchase.

Jay 10 years out on dating. They were an early 60's thing, Rolling Stones, Beatles, Dave Clarke Five, et all. Worn then with skinny fit jeans, yes skinny fit jeans were a 60's thing too !!! Yes i was there, shows my age..
The 70's thing which i also wore was the stacked heels and platform soles, some in quite normal colours, some more Garry Glitter types, then i had the hippy moustache and fab side burns that hung down at least 3 inches from my chin, like a beard but with centre bit missing. Groovy days man !!!! Never did do the porno bit though, damn, too late now though
