Got a new pair of Jack Purcells. Every step I walk both shoes make an annoying and progressively louder squeak in the heel area. It feels like the air is trapped at the bottom of the shoes.
Is this normal? Is there a method to prevent it?

generally a squeak comes from air being trapped between the sole and upper of the shoes, I'm not aware that there is much you can do because it only needs a bubble in the middle and a tiny air hole to make the squeak, could you send them back or exchange them? they are technically faulty.
I get this with Converse, all types, the fix is baby powder/talc in the right places, for me with high tops this was just around the heel area, it's also a heat thing for me - if I were to sneak them off under the desk in the office for an hour and then walk they'd not squeak!
