Men’s Designer Clothing Picks

Welcome to another edition of clothing picks from around the web. As you probably know by now these are items I have had my eye on, bought recently or I just think are great examples for their type and style of garment. I will normally pick 4 or 5 retailers which are my favourite and then throw together some of their best buys. I try to show items that have good stock levels, are quite new and are well priced for what they offer.

This week I am mixing it up a bit because I only just realised we get quite a few professionals on here looking for fashion and it is a market (high end) that I have neglected a little bit in the past. Obviously for me I only need a few suits for formal events, launch parties etc. whereas otherwise I will just rock my favourite looks throughout the day dependant on what my mood is!

With the Clothing SALES still going strong it means I have tried to stay away from them a little bit now as I think most of the really great stuff has already been snapped up, plus a lot of retailers are bringing out some amazing new stuff in small amounts. Major shipments of Autumn/Winter items will be stocked at the end of this month which means it is going to be a great time for men’s fashion again, as a new season brings new possibilities and different looks.

Men’s Clothing Picks for This Week

All Saints
Obviously we have the standard All Saints picks. I love this shop for edgier stuff at a great price. They are always on trend even if they are a little bit “dark” for a lot of people. By the way that shirt below is AMAZING, I actually have it and it’s great for summer. You might wonder why I threw in a pair of white skinny jeans but team that with the shirt to the left and it is a LOOK. Plus they work with pastel colours for that St.Tropez look. New lighter knitwear is also filtering through at the moment in the transition period from summer to winter.

My Wardrobe
Higher end stuff normally but they have great investment pieces. Perfect for fashion formal or work wear and have had an amazing new shipment of trainers and shoes recently. Paul Smith makes an appearance and they definitely make some of the best shoes and shirts on the market. Also threw in a nice summer knit and the amazing new Burberry mac which I really want over the next few weeks. Bagga Menswear
These do some great brands and some great items that are limited editions normally. I love these new jeans and denim shorts that I found there. Perfect styles for summer and the washes are great. I absolutely LOVE the chambray (light denim) shirt by G-Star below and think it’s one of the best examples I have found. The button up sleeves is for me what makes it so different to every other one I have seen.

Ted Baker
Again for the professionals, I love Ted Baker for formal wear at a great price. Try to mix in some browns with your formal wear, I LOVE the colour and here is a little tip: if you build a wardrobe full of blacks, browns, whites and greys you will always co-ordinate. Browns will definitely make you stand out within the working environment whilst still looking very smart and professional. They always sell out really quickly online because they are so popular, so if you want something, get their quick.

By the way, that waxed leather briefcase below is an absolute bargain. Would look so much better than your typical hand briefcase that the “stiffs” carry round everywhere. Also remember that ALL formal wear is an investment that you will wear over and over again so please (finances willing) don’t skimp on it. You will definitely notice the difference between a suit from someone like Ted Baker and Paul Smith compared to the budget high street chains.
