So another week and another roundup of all the stories we have missed this week in men’s fashion. There was not too much news this week as it is just about to ramp up for the true Winter season and retailers are trying to get out the last of the collections. It has been a great week for new releases though with new pieces being released at Topman (LTD Collection), Oki-ni and Urban Outfitters.
We also have news from ASOS about a new way to layer using textured clothing fabrics and a new outfit of the week collaboration from myself and Mywardrobe. To round off, we have 2 amazing 10% off offers at Milan Clothing and Bagga Menswear which is bound to make all of you who love premium designers very happy – like me!
So let’s get it started…
ASOS Textured Clothing
ASOS have been making a big deal recently of textured clothing for Autumn/Winter. The big trend they are forecasting is using extravagant fabrics and textures to create interesting layering options that are subtly different from the normal ideas you come up with. Think about mixing rich wools with corduroy or slick synthetics to create a look that is not only layered but interesting as well. Also look for faux fur lined items, cable knits to provide depth, waffle stitching, suede’s, moleskin and even faded or destroyed leather. Take a look at some of these interesting fabrics you can get your hands on below:
MyWardrobe Outfit of the Week
The outfit of the week collaboration with MyWardrobe went really well this week as we played on the whole worker wear trend. We wanted to use this amazing APC plaid coat this week as it is new in and such a statement piece. We layered that with a thick knitted cardigan because the jacket looks great with the high neck (remember the roll neck story from this week) underneath and it will also keep you amazingly warm this winter.
We clashed the styles fro top to bottom half of the outfit this week as we match a great skinny jean from Nudie with some bang on trend Chelsea boots by Paul Smith. The whole outfit is perfect for this season and combines a lot of major trends whilst still providing a big focal point to the ensemble with the jacket being the key piece.
Oki-Ni New Releases
Oki-ni have had a few great new collections in this week from Resistance, Maison Martin Margiela, Satyenkumar and a few others as well. This week though I have gone through all their latest releases and picked out some items I think are great, or just a bit different to normal. A lot of people who read this site actually love the exclusive and high fashion stuff so I am sure you will enjoy browsing through Oki-ni’s range because nobody does it better here in the UK. If you are looking for one off pieces, limited edition collaborations or just sought after premium pieces, you will find them all here:
Urban Outfitters – Limited Edition Renewal and Exclusive Pieces
Urban Outfitters have produced a collection of clothes which they call Renewal and they are Limited Edition pieces that have been created using carefully sourced vintage trims, buttons and textiles. Limited editions are my favourite type of clothing because you know they will be sought after and you are not likely to bump into anyone you know with the same clothing. It allows you to stand out from the crowd and create an individual look. Check some of these pieces out below:
Urban Outfitters also have an amazing collection of exclusive pieces from branded designers which you will not find at any other high street or internet fashion retailler. So check out some of these exclusives you can get your hands on today:
All Saints
These have released some AMAZING new boots recently and it is now officially my favourite new trend in footwear. I have 3 pairs of boots now with plans to pick up another pair within the week! So have a look at some of the great varieties below in a multitude of styles varying from high to low cut and in a mix of fabrics. Then make sure you check out our look book section because they are all filled with examples of where and how to use boots:
Topman LTD New Collection
One story we missed last week is the new Topman LTD collection release. For those that do not know, Topman LTD is created by the in house design team who create sophisticated, luxe pieces that have an emphasis on detail, design and the fabrics. These are basically Topman’s premium range for those that like a little bit of extra quality. They always sell out really fast because they are all keenly priced as you would expect from Topman, but are also really fashion forward with the styles and cuts. If you are looking for a really fashion forward suit or some professional wear then you wouldn’t go wrong. Likewise if you are looking for some great unusual knitwear or a statement jacket then take a browse through the full range:

Now honestly.. that guy in main pics is so skinny and strange. Kinda creepy..And the clothes look real bad on him..so unmasculine..
@Adrian – lol, just say how you feel, don’t bottle it up
He is kinda creepy lookin’ though….redrum, redrum, redrum etc.
It was the oki-ni stuff that really caught my eye – the mac is lovely, as are the nikes…the bagga cardigans look nice too.
Y’know, I’m a little disappointed in the all-saints footwear…it’s just all too lumberjack…I know work wear is popular right now, but it’s not where my head is…
@ Witness01
Try River Island or Topman mate. They’re both producing some really nice footwear to suit most peoples tastes at really good prices and the quality is great.
If work wear isn’t your thing, then I highly recommend boat/deck shoes with chinos for that preppy/nautical look which is still very popular at the moment and rightly so!!
i like all style 70s et 80s
Love the Topman Ltd picks, especially the outerwear. That mac is very nice looking.
Must say I felt the other way about the Model, I thought his look was very individual and different. Where is the picture from? Like his Mac alot too.
