So another week and another news round up from yours truly. Next week I am hoping to have some changes to the site in place whereby we have stories every day from guest writers and then another 2/3 from me on top of that. This means I get time to spend developing the site and making it (hopefully) even better, whilst doing a bit more promotion to get even more readers within our community. It also means I will spend a bit more time creating my personal stories and doing the longer ones like the fashion roundup and also a look book every week. So look out for that!
This week’s men’s fashion round up includes: an amazing 30% OFF OFFER from Mywardrobe, New G-star Raw launches, Topman’s latest trend collection, High Fashion new arrivals, and even some grooming product winners from the latest Men’s Health grooming awards. So a lot to get stuck into.
Let’s get into it.
So this is an exciting piece of news that I nearly did a full story on this week (but forgot to). MyWardrobe have an offer code available right now which will get you 30% OFF menswear items. MyWardrobe are one of my favourite designer clothing stores with all the massive brands like APC, PRPS, Nudie, Ralph Lauren, Lyle and Scott, Paul Smith, Burberry, YMC, Farhi and loads more. 30% is an absolutely MASSIVE saving and so there has never been a better time to pick up some wardrobe essentials or items you have had your eye on. We use clothes from MyWardrobe in nearly all our articles and look books, so there are plenty of options.
The code is below along with a few picks from their new in range that you could spend your cash on.
*Only Menswear and this promotion excludes the following brands / designers: Mulberry, Vivienne Westwood, D&G Dolce and Gabbana and Taschen.
ASOS have launched the latest G-Star Raw range on site. G-Star are very commercial these days and perhaps something for the younger audience, but there are definitely some great pieces in the new collection. The best thing about ASOS is they have great buying power and so can purchase the limited editions and more exclusive pieces that do not filter their way down to the real commercial stores like USC and Republic. Below are some picks from the range that are right on trend or something slightly different from this brand:
Topman have just released their latest new trend collection of clothing which they like to call relaxed but refined. This trend is all about clashing styles (love it) by mixing great blazers, shirts and sophisticated trousers with trainers, hi-tops and leaving layers untucked in order to create a great look:
“Expect to see roll necks under slim fit shirts, deep vees and decadent loungewear for understated and refined winter style”
So take a look at some of the key pieces for this latest trend below:
Oki-Ni have had a couple of new collection releases that have caught my eye. The first is from Nonnative who seem to produce some very classic pieces in beautiful fabrics and colours. Not in your face or unusual styling like most high fashion collections, all the pieces look high quality but have a relaxed vibe to them. Would be perfect within the new Topman trend above.
Here is the brand description:
“With inspiration coming from travels,Nonnative dissects and reconstructs details from military, outdoor and work wear. There’s also a strong philosophy that quality and value should be experience with ones own hands to be fully appreciated. Therefore extra love and attention is paid to the tangible qualities of each piece.”
The second release is from Satyenkumar who is a British designer who first made his name on the mainline collection at Versace. This new launch features some great new simple tees with subtle graphic prints, as well as some amazing tailored casual wear in the form of blazer cardigans, and loose fitting trousers… smart casual seems to be this Autumn/Winter’s hottest trend right now.
“British menswear designer Satyenkumar graduated from the Central Saint Martins MA 2001…
Under his first name, Satyenkumar started with his first test collection a/w06 which was greatly welcomed by buyers and editors.
A combination of tailored casualwear fused with tuxedo style dressing, a modern hybrid of English eccentric playboys. His pieces are exclusively manufactured in the UK using a majority of materials from British suppliers.”
The week’s news wouldn’t be complete without featuring one of our favourite brands. All Saints are really starting to throw themselves into the new collections now and releasing pieces each and every day. This week we are going to focus on their latest range of graphic tees because they do them so well and come up with unusual and creative designs each and every season.
We probably do not do enough groming advice on this site anymore but I am hoping to change that as one of my new writer’s will concentrate on it. I have been told by the great guys at Mankind that the latest Men’s Health grooming awards have been announced and you can find some of the winners they stock below. You will see a great fragrance by Giorgio Armani which I can personally recommend as one of my favourites, as well as some amazing facial scrubs, shaving creme/foam and body washes that will get you all invigorated and looking your best for the day ahead.
Must all point out that all the items below are now on offer and come with some amazing free goodies to celebrate this fact.
