BLGR Resort 2014 Collection

Blurring the lines between fashion and its gender specific associations seems a key component to designer Konrad Parol’s new line BLGR, or Boys Left Girls Right.

Offering a fresh unisex appeal through edgy yet wearable designs, Parol uses striking fabrics and strong shapes to produce a hard aesthetic with maximum impact. Models Piotr Kolan and Krolina Karolina Chrusciel provide the ideal combination of youth and strength to deliver the brand’s creative intention.

Designing within a modern, luxe palette of black, white and gold enables each piece to be both visually striking and instantly versatile. Cool cuts and shapes coupled with a strong sportswear influence ensures a consistently playful look, whilst an awareness of trends appears in the form of camo print and sporty detailing.

An urban feel remains strong throughout with snapback caps appearing as a favoured accessory. Although the majority of pieces are designed to make a statement, simple contrast trim and oversized tees offer a more conservative yet trendy option. A notable design feature is the zip pouch, which appears on the front of several trouser styles.

Collection highlights include the gold and black striped shorts and the BLGR caps. However, for the trend seeker, the camo jacket and shorts are the ideal choice – their two tone contrast stripes setting them apart from other camo pieces on the market.

Appearing, big, bold and boyish, this stand out debut from BLGR offers a promising insight into a modern line with a striking creative intention.
