Comme des Garçons PLAY is the casual, streetwear influenced sub-line from the avant-garde Japanese label. The Converse Pro Leather model was first launched back in 1976 as a performance basketball shoe and has since evolved into an iconic lifestyle sneaker – a great shoe both on and off the court. Comme des Garçons founder Rei Kawakubo designed the collection, which applies the brand’s signature quirky heart-with-eyes logo onto the hi and low models. The playful logo has become synonymous with CDG and is utilised as a random all-over print, ensuring each pair of shoes is unique. The pattern is a perfect fit for both brands, helping celebrate their creative and irreverent spirit. The low cut designs feature red hearts on either a black or white base and cost £95. However, the highlights of the collection are the monochrome hi-top versions, priced at £100.
