DSquared2 Pre-AW13 Collection
Taking cues from the back streets of 1920s New Orleans, the pre-fall 2013 menswear collection from DSquared2 has a rustic jazz flavour. This influence is further emphasised by models wearing the latest collection alongside classic musical instruments, for a soulful enunciation. Masterfully laid-back and simultaneously dapper, the pre-AW13 offering sees bow ties and tuxedo jackets with silk lapels sitting snugly on top of distressed denim shorts. Leather buckled braces add toughness to crisp shirts whilst patched-up jeans add a roughed-up, old school vibe. A bib-fronted plaid shirt, herringbone trousers, waistcoats and jackets ensure an overall refined aesthetic, although jackets and shirts are purposefully creased or irregularly buttoned-up for a radical, rough-and-ready take on fashion. Embedded in the brand’s DNA is quality formal fashion with a twist. The DSquared2 man regularly pulls off smart looks without an ounce of effort. Perfectly ironed ensembles are so last season. Not ones to neglect the finer details, DSquared2 offer a wide range of accessories, which come in the form of distressed leather belts, leather travel bags crested with the brand’s logo and a brown leather wallet on a chunky chain. Scarves are classically plain or plaid and are available in a multitude of colours, whilst pocket squares are subtly patterned for a perfect definitive finishing touch. Oversized glasses, wool trilby hats, chunky socks and brogues round out the range. The collection is available now via dsquared2.com.
