Eau De Lacoste: L.12.12 Noir
Lacoste has released the latest fragrance from their Eau De Lacoste L.12.12 collection, entitled Noir. French for black, Noir stays true to the colour’s signifier of classic and timeless style – from its smell to the packaging it comes in. Noir is inspired by Lacoste’s iconic L.12.12 polo shirt. Elegant, stylish, classic and flattering, Noir – like the polo shirt itself – is designed for longevity and to transcend fleeting trends. The mixture was formulated to be evocative and enticing, providing a contemporary take on a classic fragrance. The scent feels fresh due to its concoction of watermelon, Egyptian basil, Lavender and Verbena, yet there is a strong intensity to it, which stems from a unique combination of cashmeran, coumarin and patchouli. All these ingredients are perfectly blended to create a masculine, warm and sensual fragrance that is versatile enough to transition from day to night. The packaging is also worth a mention, with a simple and minimal design reflecting the underlying ethos of the scent. The fragrance is captured in a flacon, which was designed to mirror the chic simplicity and sleek silhouette of the aforementioned Lacoste L.12.12 polo shirt. The black colouring of bottle reflects the fragrance’s intensity and name, whilst it also features textured sides that evokes an image of the petit piqué woven cotton material of the polo shirt, first produced by René Lacoste in 1933.
