Gloverall x Clarks Originals Duffle Coat
British label Gloverall are responsible for the creation of one of menswear’s most iconic pieces, the duffle coat, and they have now been producing them for over sixty years. This season, the heritage brand have collaborated with footwear label Clarks to release a limited edition duffle for men.
On the collaboration, Mark Smith, Sales & Marketing Director of Gloverall, said: “We chose to collaborate with Clarks Original because we share so many values. It’s something we’ve wanted to do for a whole and we’re delighted to finally come together.”
Gloverall’s classic cropped ‘Monty’ silhouette has been injected with design elements found on Clarks Originals’ iconic desert boot. Produced in a combination of boiled wool mix Italian cloth with contrast alcantara suede, the aim was to create a highly durable piece that will provide true longevity for the wearer.
The coat features a traditional three wood toggle fastening system – attached with jupe rope for a vintage heritage feel – along with suede shoulder yoke and hood detailing.
Coming in a beautifully rich tan colour way, it is priced at £399 – making it a real investment piece that offers high quality craftsmanship and exclusivity, with only sixty-five being produced in total. This is a coat that will last a lifetime and only get better with age.
