Joules Menswear: AW13 Collection

Country clobber brand Joules has released its latest equestrian-inspired collection. The British label, set up by Tom Joule over 30 years ago, is continuing its efforts to reinvent the standard country wardrobe. The AW13 line is heavy on smart-casual pieces, with chinos, denim, shirts, jackets and coats making up the majority of the range. Pops of bold red and cobalt blue are mixed with more autumnal tones, burgundy and camel. Traditional fabrics such as quilted tweeds and broken twills are used throughout to retain the heritage appeal of the label. Joules has stuck to producing classic and wearable pieces, including the French Navy Winstead jacket. The Winstead mixes country style with a modern finish, made from warm wool tweed with a quilted lining, button-down front and contrasting cord collar. Knitwear also makes an appearance, in the form of an intarsia jumper. The navy crew neck is made from lambswool and features a slightly comical rainbow trout print that is designed to catch the eye in a quirky way. A comprehensive range of accessories – including socks, underwear, hats, scarves, gloves and shoes – completes the collection.
