Lyle & Scott Open New London Store
Scottish brand Lyle & Scott have opened a new London flagship store on Carnaby Street.
The two storey shop perfectly showcases the brand’s current collections, with a spacious and clean shop floor that features a weaving loom installation suspended from the ceiling – a nod to their knitwear expertise.
Richard Martin, Brand Director of Lyle & Scott, says of the new store: “With a refreshed brand focus and 140 years of trading to celebrate next year, it is important to have a visually enticing platform from which to showcase our newly segmented collections.”
Lyle & Scott collaborated with creative agency Brinkworth to develop the space. The aim was to create an environment that fully represents the label’s defining traits: British/Scottishness, golf and heritage, in a contemporary way.
“We dived into the rich history of Lyle and Scott and became fascinated by the old factory and the wooden looms used in the manufacturing process. Our design concept pays tribute to this truly successful story of British industry by transporting some of the magic from the factory back into the store environment.”
Adam Brinkworth, CEO of Brinkworth Design
The store will serve as a blueprint for Lyle & Scott’s intended global expansion plans, which will see the label open stores in Russia and Asia in the New Year.
