Molton Brown Sport Collection
British brand Molton Brown has been providing luxury grooming products for the last forty years. However, May 2013 sees a few firsts for the beauty connoisseurs.
Not only has the brand officially launched their first ever sport’s range – exclusively for men – but they have also enlisted England international rugby star, Ugo Monye, to be the face and body of the collection – the first time the company has used an ambassador to represent the brand.
Launched on the 16th May 2013 The Sport Collection consists of three staples for any sports bag:
- A 4-in-1 Sportswash
- A Body-warming Sportbalm
- An Anti-perspirant Sportstick
While the main scent running across the range was blended in London, Molton Brown’s home, inspiration was taken from Vietnam, combining the fragrances of cassia bark, nutmeg and lime to recreate the exotic aura of Vietnam’s cassia fields.
Individually, each of the collection’s products leads you through the distinct stages of your workout routine. The Sportstick combines andiroba seed oil to soothe and calm skin – avoiding any of those nasty underarm rashes caused from abrasive deodorants mixed with sweat – and anti-perspirant active ingredients to offer 24-hour protection against body odour and sweat, keeping you dry and comfortable from office to gym (to pub).
The Sportbalm is designed to be used either before or after exercise – it’s entirely up to you. The treatment contains vanillyl butyl, which creates a warm, heating sensation on the body, as well as macadamia nut oil, which simultaneously cushions and conditions the skin.
Finally, the 4-in-1 Sportwash acts as a refreshing end to a gruelling workout. Designed to be used on the body, face, hair and beard, it puts an end to having to cart countless half empty bottles to and from the gym – which never fails to wreak havoc in those tiny shower cubicles. The wash contains cassia bark for its deodorising effects, as well as skin conditioners and an ultra-shine complex for your hair, and guar gum, which softens stubble.
