Prada Spring/Summer 2013 Fantasy Lookbook
Luxury Italian fashion label Prada release their latest lookbook for the spring/summer 2013 season, entitled ‘Fantasy’. Combining the photographic skills of Phillip Meech and Agostino Osio with the artistic flair of Lok Jansen and Jeroen Koolhaas, the lookbook has a contemporary feel, with a mix of both runway photography and post-minimal abstract art. The creative collage effect accentuates the bold use of colour throughout Prada’s latest collection. Colour-blocking in vibrant hues of green, cream and burgundy strengthen the playful nature of the lookbook and provide us with the energy and fun that every spring/summer collection needs. Balancing this, Prada maintain their keen eye for detail and a focus on quality design to provide an elegant finish through sophisticated cuts. Trench coats, tailored trousers (complete with accent coloured stripe) and a selection of smart shirts (buttoned at the neck) form the basis of the collection, whilst a handful of knitted items and holiday necessities in the way of sunglasses and luggage complete the line. While Prada’s offering for spring/summer 2013 is undoubtedly chic and a must-have wardrobe filler, the label’s intriguing presentation of their lookbook, ultimately, takes centre stage.
