We all know how even simple accessories, if worn right, can change the look and feel of an outfit entirely. Luxury accessories brand Shimla have got this down and have already become something of a cult classic among celebrities and the fashion world alike.
If you haven’t seen the brand name being banded about Instagram (not to mention all over fashion blogs and magazines), you’ll definitely be familiar with their bracelets, the original of which (the crystal beaded and rope bracelet) has already reached near iconic status.
For 2013, the brand is launching six new collections, the most recent of which – their ‘Rock’ collection – pulls together the edgiest unisex styles and offers a darker spin on the original designs. The emphasis within the collection has been placed on simplicity with an edge, using materials like black onyx, Czech crystal and knotted leather with chunky silver clasps, interwoven skulls and crosses with semi-precious stones.
Each of these element has been mixed and matched perfectly to create five statement bracelets – including the gothic ‘Skull and Fire’ bracelet and the darkly simplistic matt black ‘Onyx Cuff’ – each of which has been handmade in London, and designed to be worn individually as a statement, standalone piece or mixed and stacked together depending on each wearer’s own unique style.
