Presenting one of the most artistic and visually striking footwear lookbooks in recent times, Tod’s No Code AW13 collection is sure to have a shoe silhouette to suit you. Employing the visionary mind of photographer Sam Falls helped capture the spirit behind the new collection. Adopting a technique whereby paint and photography combine has ultimately seen an artistic collision between analogue and digital, or old and new. This being exactly how editor Jefferson Hack views Tod’s as a brand. Having developed a capsule range based on the Oxford, desert boot, Chelsea boot and monk-strap, each style incorporates a different trend and is therefore set to appeal to different individual tastes. Designed within a palette of blue, black and white, an edgy speckled print is applied to a classic Oxford shoe, whilst contrasting techniques are brought bang up to date via unexpected detailing, such as a black elastic patch on a white Chelsea boot. Varying suede and patent leather fabrics are also incorporated throughout, strengthening both the versatility of the collection as well as widening its appeal. Looking to make accessible it’s heritage approach, ‘Made In Italy’ crafting and modern vision, Tod’s are set to add something a little different to the AW13 market.
