Topman unveiled their newest line, Topman Lux, last week, with the accompanying lookbook highlighting the craftsmanship and direction of the new range. The lookbook presents Topman in an almost high fashion light. Set on a graphite backdrop, the clothes modelled appear cleanly cut and crisp rather than cheap and cheerful. Whilst retaining the commerciality and wearable nature that Topman is synonymous for, the range spans from knitwear and suiting to basics and accessories, and is sure to have a piece that can be implemented into the everyday male’s wardrobe. Needless to say, it is not just the branding that has taken a high-end direction, as the garments too have been manufactured with luxury materials, justifying the higher price points. Although they are not extortionate, at £300 for a suit, the new line is considerably more expensive than the Topman mainline. Why? The materials utilised include satins (to create chic lapels on jackets) and high-count mohair wool. This is also extended to leathers, meaning the range now rivals your premium high street retailers. Available in store and online from the 7th March, the new line promises have a slightly more high fashion catwalk feel rather than your typical high street fast fashion. We will see you in line when we’re pitching up our tents on Oxford street on 6th March…
