WANT Les Essentiels de la Vie: Autumn/Winter 2013 Collection
This season luxury accessory brand WANT Les Essentiels de la Vie is taking their latest collection to outer space and back. Designers Dexter and Byron Peart were inspired by Expo 67’s Man and His World exhibition, Kubrick’s A Space Odyssey and Liberty’s Art Print of Icelandic Mountains. These works helped them decide that their aesthetic vision would stem from the moonrise and moonset. Moonrise is represented through the rich earth tones whilst moonset brings a beautiful darkness and coolness. With the exception of a few prints, the dual themes come together to from a stoic and classically beautiful visual array. Each year the label continues expand their line of products. Known for their signature classic totes, the brand now produces seasonal small leather goods, belts, gloves and backpacks, providing every finishing touch the style-conscious gent could ever need. Regardless of the inspiration, WANT always manages to churn out sleek and sophisticated designs. Not by coincidence, the items inspired by the human journey are also practical enough for physical ones as well.
