Weekend Offender Category A: SS13 Collection
Several months ago we showcased the Weekend Offender SS13 lookbook, which was shot with a British film theme and featured a wide range of seasonally appropriate, masculine looks.
However, the lesser-known side of Weekender Offender is the ‘Cat A’ line, which, whilst gaining less publicity than the mainline, provides an equally exiting collection consisting of premium knitwear, outerwear, shirting and polos.
Like the mainline collection, the ‘WE Category A’ range has been photographed before a conspicuous backdrop. This time it was the prison scene used to film Plan B’s Ill Manors film – a fitting set that emphasises the brand’s gritty, urban aesthetic.
Over the past few seasons the ‘Category A line’ has gained in both substance and style. Consequently it has benefited from growing publicity, with the likes of Jake Bugg, Liam Gallagher, Tom Hardy and Idris Elba all advocates of the label.
The collection itself reflects many of the features of the SS13 mainline but with a more casual tone. Utilising minimalistic polos, t-shirts and shirts the range aims to help build the informal section of your wardrobe – providing some great styles that are ideal for accomplishing an underplayed/down the pub look.
One of the most interesting garments within the collection is the ‘URUGUAY’ knee length mac. Whilst described as knee length, the jacket finishes midway between knee and waist, thereby providing a silhouette that sits in between a varsity jacket and traditional mac. Due to its simple shape and fundamental navy blue colour, the coat will help pull off the controversial smart-casual look effortlessly.
